Ripple ("the App") is developed and maintained by Lai ChengHui("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Ripple handles data.

1. Data Collection

Ripple does not ask you to provide profile information such as your name, phone number, or physical address in order to use the app. Ripple does process limited technical and usage data through the services described below.

  • We do not require your name, phone number, mailing address, or contact list.
  • We may receive technical and usage data through Firebase Analytics.
  • We do not run any developer-operated backend server for user data.

2. iCloud and CloudKit

Ripple uses Apple's iCloud / CloudKit infrastructure to store and share the content you create (Ripple Spaces, Statuses, and Notes). This means:

  • Content you publish in a Ripple Space is stored in your iCloud account and shared via CloudKit with people you choose to share the Space link with.
  • We (the developer) have no access to your iCloud data. It is protected by Apple's security and governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
  • Subscribers to your Ripple Space receive read-only access to the content you publish. They cannot modify or reply to your content through Ripple.
  • Your use of iCloud is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

3. Content You Share

When you share a Ripple Space link with others, anyone with that link can subscribe to view your published content. You are responsible for the content you choose to share. You can stop sharing at any time by managing your Space settings within the App.

4. Firebase Analytics

Ripple uses Firebase Analytics, a Google service, to understand feature usage and improve the app. Firebase Analytics may process information such as app interactions, approximate device and app environment details, app instance identifiers, and IP address information as needed to provide analytics services.

We use this information for product improvement and reliability analysis. We do not use Firebase Analytics for advertising, selling data, or building social profiles about you.

Firebase Analytics is operated by Google and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

5. Children's Privacy

Ripple does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction).

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are made, the updated policy will be posted here with the "Last Updated" date revised accordingly.
